This trip was quite a while ago but I haven't had time to put photos on yet. My friend Campbell came up with us which was nice for everyone. Friends of ours had left a remote control boat for us, then Jasper got another for his birthday. Needless to say plenty of time was spend playing with them on the pool. As mentioned before Jasper celebrated his birthday (isn't my cake wonderful?) The boys were all really into fishing as well, which I'm not to keen on. Dead fish kind of freak me out. The Russell Birdman was also on and was very entertaining to watch. Contestants dress up or create 'wings' then jump of the Russell wharf (into freezing winter water) in an attempt to 'fly' the furthest. All in all we had heaps of fun! We also got two new kayaks to take up which are sooo much nicer than the old ones.
Our latest trip up to Russell was not quite as eventful as the last, but having no other friends or family around made it rather peaceful.
The huge pine trees the block the view are going to be cut down soon, so you'll be able to see pictures of that. Mum also found an odd skeleton, I'm pretty sure it's a sea dragon but leave your guess in the comments!
We also got the lights on the jetty to work and it was beautiful! We took the camera down, played around with it and managed to get some pretty cool photos. The stars were especially pretty.
Dad & I kayaked to an island were we found an old abandoned campsite, which was pretty interesting.
Anyway that's it from me. :)
