"My name is August. I won't describe what I look like. Wherever you're thinking, it's probably worse"
This story is truly life changing. It's beautiful writing with a unique story line and I love, love, loved it! And even if you won't take my word for it, it was one of the top five whitcoulls children's books for some time, so guaranteed to be good.
August Pullman is not an ordinary kid, sure he does ordinary stuff, rides his bike, plays Xbox, eats ice cream, stuff that makes him ordinary, in a way. But Auggie is not ordinary, ordinary kids don't make others run away screaming in the playground and ordinary kids don't get stared at all the time. If August had one wish it would be just to have a normal face. But that won't happen, and Auggie is about to face what will be one of his biggest challenges yet, bigger than all the surgeries, middle school. And it's not just a challenge for him, but for his family, friends and the people around him.
I think the thing I loved most about this book is the way it's told from different points of view. I said before I loved it and it's truly inspirational. Enjoy reading!
