Ok. Warning you this is gonna be a long post! Soo I'm going to put a read more break in. My first ever! Isn't it exciting! Na not really but anyways here goes......
oh and If you look on the About the blog page you can see what is coming soon for a sneak peak at what you'll see next.
As you probably know I went on holiday on Waipu! We stay at this place called Hamon Rock and it is super fun! The garden is huge! Great for spotlight and there are heaps of trees with lights and cool sculptures and stuff so great for hide en seek. Anyhow the first day we arrived and didn't do much, but the second day we went down to Waipu cove and played on the beach. There were heaps of (whole) fan shells lying around in the sand. Towards the end of the time on the beach we made a huge and castle/hill/pile and put some shells and rocks on it. It looked pretty impressive really. The next day we girls went out for the morning to explore all the op shops. My favourite was the antique shop. Full of treasures! Expensive treasures! I found a feather brooch in gold and black and three little wood craved elephants which was only $12 altogether and bought them. In the afternoon we went to explore the Waipu caves. It's not at all like the waitomo caves (if you've ever been) No tours just go free and explore.

It was super awesome! There were glow worms on the celing, stalagmites and stalactites, an under ground river and quite a bit of mud. We also saw some huge cave wetas! (an NZ Insect) then we saw a whole lot of cool rocks covered with moss and went on a (unplanned) walking track that was there. We thought it was a loop track, but the was not so and we had to walk all the way back to the car. The last day we went kayaking on the estery which was heaps of fun. We put Savannah (who is 2) in the kayak and towed her around the shallows as we kept being told "I want to go in da boat!" So in all it was a pretty great holiday. Photos should be coming to the photos page today or on Monday.
Another thing I'm super excited for is a trip to Hamilton! I'm going with four girls from my dance group for a weekend of dancing. The thing is called Pheonix. I've never been but there's a first for everything! It's all day from 9:00am to 5:00pm so I'm glad we have a public holiday for ANZAC day. Speaking of ANZAC day....... (Australia, New Zealand, Army Corps It you don't know)
check out this cool video my brother showed me about ANZAC told with lego in a super appropriate way that still gets the message across.
